isha-privilege replied to your post: also mako is used to being bolin’s big brother and…
ya exactly. actually if this speculation is tru it would be rly good for mako for someone to treat him like a kid for once. i mean w korra/asami he’s their age, he’s def in-charge w bolin, so it’s new for him
i am aLL FOR THIS because mako is a bABY and he should be treated as such and
lmao imagine him getting super mad at lin for not being allowed to do something and he is super grumpy and mulling it over all day until it hits him that she’s doing it because he’s too young and she’s looking out for him to not fuck something up
and then he cries into his pillow bc lin is his professional work mom
HAHA MAKO AS A PROBLEM CHILD yeah I can see it.
Like he’s so used to being extremely independent for his age, so he sounds like a little kid asking to be treated like an adult when at work sahfjkshadfjahaha. It’s kinda sad tho bc he is such an adult and he doesn’t understand why he can’t just go right into work without being treated like a rookie because he’s never been treated like he’s only 18/19.
Haha he would like Lin so much tho like omg actual hero that’s so cute Mako wants to be just like his boss!!!!!!!!!
pulpofiction replied to your post: toph and mako for some reason this makes perfect…
HEY, FLAMEY FINGERS!! WE’RE MAKING A BABY, GOT IT?? (toph punches mako in the arm) pretend they’re the right age for this ok
oh my goD
Well ok we don’t know how involved Mako and Bolin got with the Triads, but I do think he’s going to be making enemies because he is going to be arresting Triad members specifically, and he makes a name for himself doing this.
I think at the most, Triad members are going to recognize him from when he was a kid, but I don’t know if they’re going to target him specifically for being an ex-almost-gang-member, or if it’s just because he’s good at his job so they think he needs to go away.
I can see other officers giving him shit just because he’s a teenager, he grew up on the streets, and has had this amazing turnaround in the past year wrt probending and korra. Like, it is weird lmao, that this nobody kid with barely any money to his name suddenly is dating the Avatar and just got a job on the police force.
I’d like it if Mako’s story in Book 2 is about him trying to fit into normal society and trying to work with people rather than without them. He’s not a team player, he’s used to being a leader, he doesn’t go out of his way to make friends, etc.
oh my god HAHAHA
so mako as a mom and toph as a dad perfect
What ship do you think I’m the child of?
#oH FUCKING YES #PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE I’M SO CURIOUS #CROSSOVERS COUNT BTW LIKE IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE A STANDARD SHIP OR ANYTHING#WHICHEVER PEOPLE YOU THINK MADE ME
yssadalawa replied to your post: “Books 2, 3, and 4 simultaneously,” what on…
the last two paragraphs are so accurate hahahah if they’ve been green-lit for the next three seasons, i would think working on all of them at the same time is only logical for continuity’s sake.
Lol right, I’d be worried if they weren’t working on them at the same time
also im laughing you and sherbeeee both instantly liked that post and i think the 3 of us are going into animation hahahaha TEAM ANIMATION
jinlian replied to your post: Mako and Bolin’s parents are my new favorite…
i definitely just see them as the two chillest people ever just occasionally like “our korra :’) our little avatar :’) bless :’) pls put out the house fire korra :’) we love u”
YES LIKE HOW FUNNY WOULD THAT BE Korra is bubbly and bursting with excitement all the time and bouncing off the walls and Senna and Tonraq are just
:) :) :) :) :)
ok tho i’d rather Korra be like Senna than like Tonraq lol
Nooooooo shh shhh
Working on an animated TV show has different divisions of staff, obviously, and everyone has different jobs to accomplish. The animators over at Studio Mir aren’t locked in their offices with the completed scripts and storyboards of books 2, 3, and 4, drawing an episode a day.
The writers are probably writing book 4, while the storyboard artists are boarding book 3, as seen by Bryan’s latest posts. Animatics are being made of book 3, so that is probably being animated right now. Development art is probably being done on book 4, stuff like character, prop, and background design. I don’t know if scripts and design work is done in tandem, but I’m guessing it is.
Meanwhile, there are people working on prepping book 2 to air. This means catching mistakes in the animation, sound, rerecording voice work, etc. While also doing promotional art.
They are constantly working, but it’s not as if everyone is entrenched in every thread of story for each book at the same time. There’s a lot of staff, a lot of work to accomplish, a lot of effort and skill put into it. So, of course, respect them because animation isn’t an easy job but I seriously don’t think it’s that bizarre to be working on each season at once when the show has been okay’d to continue for another 3 seasons. Especially when the narratives of each season are their own stories, but obviously should have an overall arc of character development.
I just see a lot of people saying that they’re nervous about the seasons being worked on all at once but trust me it’s probably not as chaotic as it sounds lmao, the only people that seem to do every job along the way is the creators haha.
ahhh yes yssadalawa did that comic, it’s fantastic just like her~
Lol there’s a lot of ways I want Korra’s parents to be but now I’m laughing like what if the two of them are chill as fuck and Korra is just this wildfire of a girl and she’s like burning the curtains and ripping up the floor and they’re just like “that’s our little girl :)”
hahahsjhahsdhaa like they’re perpetually high or something
