Also, fantastic call on whoever decided to make this scene silent with just the score playing, it’s fucking amazing. You deserve a pat on the back whoever you are, because Lin goes out understated; she’s not flashy like Zolt with his dying lightning and fire or theatrical like Tahno or secretive, swept away like Tarrlok. It happens like an execution of a threat, quiet and taken care of cleanly. She is a martyr and a symbol for justice and nobody but the enemy gets to watch her fall.

Lin’s bending getting taken away is shown with a cut off of sound, which in visual storytelling, especially in animation, gives us not only our hearing but also our touch. There is no thump to her body hitting the ground. All we get is the visual and even then Lin doesn’t see what we do.
